Federal reauthorization of the National School Lunch Program in 2004 mandated that all schools enact a Wellness Policy by July 1, 2006. SCASD formed a wellness policy committee to draft this policy which was adopted by the school board in February 2006. This policy includes goals for nutrition education, physical activity, and nutrition guidelines for all foods available on each school campus. View the SCASD Wellness Policy for Physical Education, Physical Activity and Nutrition. |
