State College Area School District Citizens Advisory Committee for Private Fundraising As per the District’s Private Fundraising Policy, the “purpose of this committee is to assist in developing and increasing the resources of the State College Area School District by soliciting and managing gifts from alumni, parents, community leaders, local citizens, corporations, foundations, and other private sources.” In so doing, committee members will assist in prospect identification, cultivation, and/or solicitation. The committee is advisory to the Board of School Directors on policy and procedures regarding private fundraising initiatives. Committee members subscribe to the goals and objectives of the District’s Private Fundraising Action Plan adopted by the Board of School Directors on October 12, 1998. |
