Community Dialogues The complete Options Packet is now available online on the Resources web page. It contains a description of the facility options presented at the February 12th Community Dialogue. Stay informed of all the progress by checking the web site for updates or watching meetings on C-NET Channel 98 or on demand C-NET's web streaming (see our listing of individual programs here.) Completed: Community Dialogue #3 - Options - Feb. 12 - 7-9 p.m. - Mount Nittany Middle School Cafeteria The third community dialogue will be held to share the facility options with the community. During this session, participants rate/rank each of the options and, once again in a small group format, develop a collective response as to the preferred option. At the conclusion of the dialogue, results are posted on wall charts and all questionnaires are collected and tallied. Again, a web questionnaire will be available online for anyone not able to attend this meeting. Community Dialogue #2 - Educational Framework - Nov. 5 - 7-9 p.m. - Mount Nittany Middle School Cafeteria All community members are encouraged to attend. This dialogue will address school size, grade configuration, neighborhood schools and magnet schools along with other educational and community issues, which will be important in developing options and the final plan. Participants will complete an individual and group questionnaire and discuss in small groups. Reports from this meeting are available on the DeJong Web site. Community Dialogue #1 Futures Conference - Oct. 7 - 7-9 p.m. - Mount Nittany Middle School Cafeteria. All community members are encouraged to attend. Future trends in education and a description of the District Wide Facilities Master Planning process will be presented. Small group and large group discussion will follow. A summary of the individual, group, and web responses, and a compilation of the individual and group comments from the first Community Dialogue is available on the DeJong web site.
