The State College Area School District uses a comprehensive testing program to acquire diagnostic information for students and evaluative data for our instructional program. The information below summarizes each type of test used and the grade in which each is administered. The results are entered on the student record. Parents/guardians of students in the State College Area School District have the right to have their child exempt from any or all of the district assessment programs and may exercise that right by providing written notice to the building principal at the beginning of the school year. This parental right is guaranteed by the Family Equal Rights and Privacy Act. Individuals with questions and concerns should call the Learning Enrichment and Student Services office at 231-1054.
