 Hi!
My name is Helen Quinn and I am the Instructional Technology Specialist for Ferguson Township as well as Radio Park, Gray's Woods and Park Forest since February, 2004. Before that, I taught 7th and 8th grade math at Park Forest Middle School for 16 years. My role in the district is to provide technology instruction to our K-5 faculty, staff and students. For each group, the technology instruction that I provide will look radically different depending on the technology being used and the purpose for using the technology. For faculty and staff members, I provide instruction on how to use technology to accomplish systemic tasks such as taking attendance and completing progress reports as well as provide instruction on how to integrate technology into the curriculum. I also provide instruction and support for classroom teachers as they teach the technology competency lessons to our students at each grade level. For students, I support their teachers as they teach students how to use technology for research, collaborative, creative, and critical thinking uses.
