    Community Forum: You're Invited!

    Wednesday, April 22, 6 p.m.
    at the High School South cafeteria
    The goals of the evening will be to:
    • provide an overview of the planning process to date
    • discuss challenges that we are currently working through
    • provide a recap of the recent feedback regarding the 60% planning stage

    The discussion will focus on spaces for the the performing arts and physical education. Community members are invited to share additional thinking that will improve our design as we work toward the project’s 90% benchmark.

  • Straight Talk Parenting Workshop
    with Dr. Janet Rosenzweig

    Dr. Rosenszweig is a dynamic speaker and author who led a Straight Talk session last year, and her presentation was very well-received.
    Title: Free-range Kids Need Sex-Wise Parents
    When: Tuesday, April 21, 7-8:30 p.m.
    Where: Mount Nittany Middle School Auditorium
    Key takeaways will include:
    1. Advice on finding the right balance between imposing restrictions for safety and allowing freedom to grow for kids of different ages and in different circumstances
    2. How to prepare your child with accurate information about anatomy and physiology and your family’s values about sexuality
    3. How the community needs to work together to ensure the safety of our children
