The Advanced Writings course is a senior elective in which student enrollment is  via teacher recommendation.  The students will do extensive research on a topic of their choosing with the intent of creating one major writing piece.  Students are strongly encouraged to make connections with experts in the arena of their topic, and personalize their research attempts by creating an original research piece / process.  The course meets twice a week on T / R to allow students ample time to research outside of the classroom setting.  This course is designed for the highly motivated and independent student with an academic adviser providing structure for their research experience.
