SCASD Future Of Technology: Delta and High School During the 2012-2013 school year, High School and Delta students are allowed to bring personal internet devices to school and join them to the SCASD network. 2012-2013 Technology at Delta During the 2011-2012 school year, students at Delta were issued laptops. During the 2012-2013, Delta students were issued iPads as part of a pilot project. There is one cart of laptops that the teachers may use with their students for projects and district and state testing. 2012-2013 Technology at the High School Students at the High School have access to shared laptop carts for many of their classes. Typically, English and Social Studies classrooms have laptops available every class period they are needed. Many other subjects share laptop carts amongst teachers who schedule them for specific assignments or projects. There are two open access desktop labs (one in each building) that a few subject area teachers with no laptop access schedule for their classes. Some specialized courses (Tech Ed or Business, for example) have dedicated desktop labs for their curriculum. Students have access to a limited number of laptops to be used for educational purposes during study halls or lunch periods. Open Access for Students during Study Halls:
There is will be a limited number of laptops available through the library for overnight usage. A parent needs to sign a permission slip in order for a student to check out a laptop.
