 Welcome to Mrs. Lunsford's Website!My name is Susan Lunsford, and I am delighted to be the Instructional Support Teacher (IST) at Park Forest Elementary. When I am not helping boys and girls at PFE learn to love reading, I am busy at home with my husband, our children, Ryan and Maddy, and our dogs, Jake and Jack. Although I am new to PFE as a teacher this year, I have worked at PFE in the past as a Professional Development Associate (PDA) working with the wonderful interns in the PDS program. Prior to this, I taught a first and second grade multi-age classroom at Ferguson Township Elementary for eleven years. When I am not at PFE, at home with my family or traveling to fun places with them, you will very likely find me reading a book--because I LOVE BOOKS and reading just about anything. As a teacher who helps give students a boost in reading skills, I want children to LOVE BOOKS, too. In fact, when you have finished checking out my webpage, please feel free to spend some time with a book and read--I have even included a link to some of my favorites! I look forward to sharing my love of books with the children at PFE.
