Easterly Parkway Elementary

Our Mission: To prepare students for lifelong success through excellence in education

We have a very active after school Intramural Program at Easterly Parkway. The program runs two days a week after school from dismissal time until 4:30 PM. We usually have 18 sessions in the fall not counting swimming. There is no charge for the fall intramurals. Intramurals is all for fourth and fifth graders. Prior to the activity, students will receive a letter with the information pertaining to the particular activity. These letters need to go home and be read by the parent. A signed permission form needs to come back to the intramural coordinator in order for the student to participate. It is not necessary for students to attend all sessions. Tell your son or daughter to listen for intramural announcements.

In the fall we offer swimming 4 days at the SCAHS North Natatorium. Swimmers must bring their own bathing suit and towel to school. A school bus will take them over to the natatorium immediately after school and parents need to pick them up by 4:30 PM. At our school, we will offer open gym, basketball and possibly flag football. During open gym, students will play a variety of inside and outside gym games. Flag football is played outside in the playground.

During basketball, students will practice throwing baskets in order to prepare them for the Elk's Club Hoop Shoot that is held every January. The Hoop Shoot sponsored by the Elk's Club will be on a Saturday morning in January at Mount Nittany Middle School. Winners from the Easterly Parkway basketball practice will be eligible to compete at the Elk's Hoop Shoot. All participants at Mount Nittany will receive a free tee shirt. Winners at that competition can be eligible to further compete.
If you have any questions about the fall activities, please call the school and ask for Mrs. Esther Cordell.
