About Me
I am originally from Detroit, Michigan and moved to State College in 2009.  This summer I was busy!  My husband and I were married back home in Michigan.  We also traveled to Niagara, Ontario and into the Pennsylvania Wilds.  When we were home here in Pennsylvania, we played volleyball and hiked around the area.  We have three cats, Jack, Annie, and Daisy that you will hear a lot about.   In early August, we were also involved in the rescue of approximately 45 stray cats!
Educational Background

I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 with dual degrees in Spanish and Elementary Education, with certifications in Language Arts, Math, and Spanish.  After graduating, I taught fifth grade in a district outside of Detroit for six years.  Before switching to fourth grade, I taught first grade for two years at Easterly Parkway.  I am currently completing a masters in the Social Foundations of Education at Eastern Michigan University.
