Your coach, guidance counselor, and the District's athletics director should be your primary sources of information and guidance regarding being recruited by colleges and universities.  Always communicate with them first about your interest in becoming a college athlete.

To supplement the assistance of these professionals, the SCASD Athletics Department and the SCASD Office of Student Services have cooperated to make an independent educational service available to student-athletes and their parents.  This program is designed to help athletes and their parents make informed decisions about the college recruiting process.  Videos and handbooks from Dynamite Sports, Inc. are available in secondary school guidance offices throughout the school district, as well as the athletics office.  These resources provide scholarship information, as well as discussion of the "walk on" option.  Additionally, Dynamite Sports, Inc. provides an online question and answer service which allows families to contact the company directly with questions about the NCAA or recruiting (answers are guaranteed with in 48 hours.)
