K.I.D.S.
(Kids Involved in Doing Service)
is a "community service related" activity for 1st graders through 5th graders who meet periodically to work on projects to benefit various organizations. Some of the past projects have included making cards and holiday decorations for veterans and nursing home residents, decorating the paper bags in which the Meals on Wheels customers receive their meals, presenting concerts at local nursing homes, writing letters to deployed soldiers and landscaping around our school.
The meetings are after school in the APR (All Purpose Room) from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Students need to be picked up in the APR by 4:00 PM. Permission slips are sent home before each meeting so that we know which students are attending each meeting.
