All School Gathering (ASG)
 

All School Gatherings
are held Tuesday afternoons beginning around 2:00 pm.


This is a time for students to learn about and practice appropriate assembly behaviors. Seating is assigned by classroom with grade levels being grouped together.

In an effort to develop the student's leadership skills, the fifth grade classes take turns being in charge of that day's program.


Programs may include but are not limited to:

  • instrumental music by band & orchestra students as directed by Mr. Schaeffer
  • piano music accompaniment by Mrs. Begg
  • vocal music presentations by the choir or selected classroom(s)
  • introduction of the current week's citizenship focus via skits, poetry, songs, stories, etc.
  • special classroom presentations
  • special guest speakers
  • presentation of awards for the previous week's citizenship focus
  • awarding of the divisions "PENGUIN" mascots
  • staff introductions
  • noteworthy accomplishments of staff & students
  • discussion of important school issues
