Developing writers are able to:
  1. Demonstrate some confidence as writers.
  2. Write stories with a beginning, middle, and end.
  3. Write some frequently used words.
  4. Use spaces between words.
  5. Write simple sentences.
  6. Read their own writing.
  7. Form letters correctly.
  8. Sometimes use capitalization and punctuation correctly.
  9. Conference with others, to begin making simple revisions to their work.
