Aquatic Certification Courses

Four aquatic certification courses are offered at the State College High School Natatorium. Full courses which are conducted are: The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course, The American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Course and also the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course. You must pre-register with the Natatorium prior to taking any course at 231-4161.

The Natatorium also offers Recertification courses (Review courses ONLY--as is now mandated by the American Red Cross--Challenge courses are NO LONGER PERMITTED) in Lifeguard Training and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.  Please scroll down to see all course dates and fees.

2012-2013 Course Dates:


Fall 2012:

Lifeguard Training (Full course):

**  Must be at least 15 years of age**
 
October 29, 30, 31, November 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15
3:30 PM - 6:00 PM, Mondays through Thursdays
 

**Attendance at all class sessions is MANDATORY.

 
 

Fall 2012:

Lifeguard Training (Review course):

**  In order to recertify American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, all individuals must participate in a Lifeguard Training Review Course.  Challenge courses are no longer permitted.  If a certification expires, the ENTIRE Full course must be retaken.  There are no exceptions--This is the policy of the American Red Cross.**
