How to Help Your Child Recognize Bullying

The SUMMIT Project is sponsoring an information session for parents titled, How to the Help Your Child Recognize Bullying this Thursday, May 10, in the State High School, South Building from 7-8pm. Karen Bierman, a distinguished professor of psychology at Penn State, will discuss how to recognize bullying behavior, how to help the victim, and what your child can do if he or she is bullied.

Dr. Bierman leads research on peer relations and disruptive behavior problems. She directs several programs and initiatives including the Head Start-REDI program, as well as the Fast Track program in Pennsylvania. To learn more about Dr. Bierman's work, visit her Penn State website.
