Tutoring Center Information

The Volunteers in Public Schools program serves our students by offering no-cost tutoring/mentoring assistance. Parents with concerns can request a volunteer (usually a Penn State student) by calling Catherine Lehman at 235-4915 or by e-mail at cdt13@scasd.org.

Our Wednesday/Thursday evening (3:30-6:00) tutoring center, located in the High School North cafeteria, is open to elementary and middle school students as well as high school students. Our volunteers offer assistance with all maths, most sciences, history/social studies, foreign languages, English writing and communications skills, reading, and English as a Second Language.

Tutoring is offered on an ongoing basis only; no drop-ins, please. Once a student is signed up, he or she is expected to attend regularly and is responsible for letting us know in advance about having to miss any sessions.
