  • Corl Streeet PTO is sponsoring a Book Fair on October 17 to 19.  All proceeds will go to purchasing books for our school and classroom libraries. Student preview will be Wednesday, October 17.  Students will walk through the book fair in the MPR room with their class and teacher, so they can compile a wish list of books they would like.  Students who bring money from home that day may also purchase books at that time.  On parent conference days the book fair will be open during the following times:  Thursday, October 18, the book fair will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Friday, October 19, the book fair will be open from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

    For the first time, the high school’s broadcast station, WSCH, live streamed the Homecoming Parade on Facebook. Before a backdrop adorned with district logos, commentators Ella Simpson and Jack Clark served as the on-air personalities.

  • Centre County Schools Launch CentreREADY

    This fall, the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County joined the county’s five school districts and two career/technical institutions in launching the CentreREADY program, a collaborative initiative aimed at helping companies hire employees with desired core skills and competencies.

    On a sunny afternoon, the alternative school’s construction technology class visited the new Delta Program building in progress on the high school campus — part of a State College Area School District plan. The district decided the State High Project should serve as an educational resource.
