Remote Learning for All: The District has shifted to remote learning for the weeks of Nov. 30 - Dec. 4 and Dec. 7 - 11. During this time period, all K-12 students will adhere to their daily schedules during remote learning each day except for Wednesdays, which will be asynchronous learning days with direction coming from each teacher.
EP Spirit Day: This Friday, Dec. 4th, will be a Crazy Hair Day spirit day.

Special Education Support Centers During the week of Dec. 7-11, we will be providing in-person support to some of our students who receive special education services. For these services, we will be following the same format and protocols that we used when we were in full remote status in September. Eligible students’ families will receive follow-up emails tomorrow with details about these opportunities.

Andrés Aradillas-Fernández composed 20 fairy tales in German for his self-published collection translated as “Talking Mountains.” Available through Amazon, his work was inspired by an Advanced German 4 class project.
Dr. Ben Mordan, the new CTC director, takes over a popular program that intends to keep rising. This year, 1,331 students in grades 9-12 are enrolled in a CTC or technology education class, representing 56 percent of the State High population.
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the newly renovated Memorial Field. Beginning in 2013, the State College Area School District started a renovation project for Memorial Field, the district’s main outdoor athletic facility and a historic landmark.
Food Services staff distributed 3,137 bags of food to 1,500 families. That‘s 31,270 meals for the children in our community. Since March of 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of schools, they have distributed 315,384 meals.
After months of preparation, SCASD and Schlow are launching the All Ready Access Program, an initiative spurred by the pandemic and aimed at increasing digital equity. Under the program, all of the district’s nearly 7,000 students will have a district-sponsored library card and online account.
