Winter Clothing Drive: During the month of March, Easterly Parkway will be doing a winter clothing drive. Donate your new or gently used winter coats, snow pants and snow boots. Starting Tuesday, March 2 there will be an area to donate outside of the main entrance. All items must be freshly washed before donating. Click on this link to see the flyer!

Tasty Treats From Food Services Baker Jim Nolte
Baker Jim Nolte has achieved districtwide celebrity status, thanks to the weekly meal distributions to families begun last year. His chocolate chip banana bread continues to garner rave reviews on social media with tales of siblings fighting for the prized slices in the bagged meals.

Caring Campaign Helps Foster Children
During what they called their Caring Campaign, Spring Creek Elementary students recently made personalized fleece blankets meant to comfort children adjusting to foster homes.

Focused on Making Students Better
Everyday Algebra, a State High math class focused on helping students in a new way, found an equation for success, and an acclaimed documentary company noticed. This short film highlights an effective effort to help students pass the state’s Keystone Algebra 1 assessment exam.

No Place For Hate
Since last fall, a student-led committee has been working to qualify State High as an official No Place For Hate school. The project represents one of the many ways the State College Area School District is supporting students and employees with equity and anti-bias initiatives.

Nature-based Playgrounds Enhancing Recess
Innovative playgrounds were introduced this year at Corl Street, Radio Park and Spring Creek elementary schools, the district’s newest buildings. “I love the new playground,” Radio Park student Benjamin Herickhoff says. “There are so many fun things to do.”
