My name is Kirsten Grove and I have been an elementary school teacher since 2009! I am from Williamsport, PA and attended Lock Haven University where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach K-6 all subjects and mid-level social studies and language arts! I love history and I love to read and write! While attending LHU, I partcipated in track and field and cheerleading. Sprinting, jumping, and tumbling were my favorite activities in college sports!
I spent the first 10 years of my teaching career in the Williamsport Area School District teaching 6th, 5th, and 1st grade. While at WASD I attended Penn State University where I studied to earn a Masters in Educational Leadership. I loved my time there so much that we jumped at the chance to move to Happy Valley during the summer of 2018.
My husband, Brady, and I have two children, Annelise and Thomas...they are both SCASD studnets at Corl Street Elementary. Outside of school, we all love to stay active, traveling, reading, and spending time outside are a few of our favorites! You’ll often find us hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring! I started my time at FTE in first grade and I am thrilled to be moving back into a fifth grade classroom! I can't wait to share the amazing journey of fifth grade with you and your family!
