  • * Elementary Cycle Days

    Elementary specials’ cycle days can be found on our district's calendar by clicking here.

    Additionally, you can see the cycle days on the calendar feature of our App, which is available in the Apple Store or Google Play by searching for “SCASD.”

    We will be updating the SCASD calendar with the specials’ cycle days for the upcoming week each Friday. When there is inclement weather, the calendar will be updated to reflect the correct specials’ cycle day.

  • Technology Student Association (TSA) Awards

    Park Forest Middle School’s TSA chapter turned in a high-powered performance at the 43rd Annual Pennsylvania TSA Competition. Additionally, the State High TSA Chapter also sent members to the state competition.

  • Getting Creative with Art

    It looked as though the Park Forest Middle School showcase for exceptional artwork by students in grades 6-8 would be cancelled — until Park Forest’s art teachers, in the spirit of their profession, decided to get creative.

  • SCASD Named Best Communities for Music Education

    For the eighth straight year, SCASD has received the Best Communities for Music Education award from the nonprofit National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. The honor marks the 17th time since 2000 that the foundation has recognized SCASD for its support for music education.

  • Kristen Albright Named PAECT Teacher of the Year

    Helping students embrace failure en route to success underpins STEM education for Albright, who recently was named the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology (PAECT) teacher of the year. She stresses that perseverance drives the best engineers and scientists toward solutions.

  • Tasty Treats From Food Services Baker Jim Nolte

    Baker Jim Nolte has achieved districtwide celebrity status, thanks to the weekly meal distributions to families begun last year. His chocolate chip banana bread continues to garner rave reviews on social media with tales of siblings fighting for the prized slices in the bagged meals.
