I am originally from the Pittsburgh Area. I came to State College in 1993 to attend Penn State University. I graduated in 1997 with a BS in Elementary Education. Then, I returned home to Greensburg, where I was a substitute teacher for two years. While subbing, I attended graduate school at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I received my Masters Degree in Literacy in 2000, and am a certified reading specialist. I returned to State College in 1999 to teach a multi-age 3rd/4th grade class at Fairmount Elementary. I taught 3rd or 4th grade for 13 years at Radio Park. In December 2016, I completed a graduate program at Drake University for my gifted and talented endorsement certification. This will be my 24th year working in the SCASD. I am beginning my 10th year as a Gifted Support teacher at Ferguson Township and Spring Creek Elementary.  I enjoy traveling and reading in my spare time. I am married to a Penn State DUS Administrator. We have 2 children, Ethan and Allison. We are happily enjoying our life as a family of four!
