*New COVID Protocols: COVID is now being treated like a flu would, but a positive test with the name and date in the photo is valid documentation for "Doctors Excused". Our nurse Heidi (HAA14@scasd.org ) has mentioned coming back after 24 hours fever free, with the option to mask to help other students in case of spread.
Early Dismissal - Students require a guardian's approved note/email to be dismissed early. The student will be called to the front lobby at the time they are to be dismissed, and will be sent out to their vehicle parked at the front entrance. If no note is given prior, please enter the front lobby and we will call your student down and give you a paper to sign to excuse the dismissal.
Absent - Please email a reason to excuse your students absence or log it into ParentVUE. Please send an excuse with your child if you did not send an email. State law requires an excuse for all absences within 3 school days after the date of absence.
Late Unexcused - Students that arrive after 8:40 a.m. will be signed in and noted as late unexcused if they do not have a note. Please send your child in with a note, if possible, at any time. (Parent / Doctors Excuse) School doors open by 8:00 a.m.
* 3 unexcused absences may result in a 1st offense being filed and mailed to your home. - Please Review Student Handbook, page 17.
Educational Trips - An Educational Trip form is available online, or a paper copy may be given from the Attendance office. Accepted trips will be coded and seen on the students' attendance calendar through ParentVUE. The students are responsible for gathering all assignments on a form signed by teachers if the trip is longer than 3 days.
Please note: The district sends automatic alerts to guardians about a student’s daily attendance. You will receive a notification to the designated guardian's email address.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Attendance Secretary, Ms. Emily Hull (eeh21@scasd.org).
