    The goal was to explore the environment bordering the school — an innovative safety precaution Principal Brian Ishler and Assistant Principal Alex Raup devised this summer in support of the Run, Hide, Fight protocol, the national standard for responding to an emergency.

    Congratulations to the State High students who have been named National Merit Scholarship Program semi-finalists. In each annual National Merit Scholarship Program, about 50,000 academically talented high school students are honored, but only some 16,000 of them are named semi-finalists.

  • State High's Drum Major takes school spirit seriously

    This fall, Sam Oleynik will do more than keep the beat for the State High marching band. He’ll keep everyone upbeat. Oleynik is State High’s latest drum major, the field commander prominently bedecked in the special white uniform with the silver-topped staff, white gloves and furry hat.
