    School Based Tutoring Resources:

Zero Period "Before School" Tutoring - Dr. Denise Schwab

Before school tutoring for core classes (English, science, math and social studies) will run from 7:30-8:30 AM Monday thru Friday in room D114 (open classroom). Before school tutoring is completely optional and we will be accepting any drop-ins from students requiring assistance with core classes. Please see schedule below.

    Monday/Thursday - Math & English

    Tuesday/Wednesday - Science & Social Studies

As we move forward with in-person learning, our zero period tutoring will be offered both in-person and remote. To access zero period remote tutoring you will need to create links in SCASD Clever, which students, as well as staff, will use for remote tutoring on the predetermined days.  You will need to login (using your SCASD credentials) and click on the brain icon (see below).  Zero Block Tutoring will be available from 7:30 - 8:30 am.

    Monday/Thursday - Math & English

    Tuesday/Wednesday - Science & Social Studies

We encourage students to use this opportunity to ask questions, review material, edit essays, and practice their learning.

Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) - Dr. Denise Schwab

(ACE is currently not offered for the 2020-2021 school year)

The State College Area High School is committed to helping every student succeed. The Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) is designed to give high school students who are struggling academically another opportunity to reach their academic potential and to prepare them for lifelong success.  If mandated, instead of going to a study hall, your student will report to room D126. Time in ACE will provide an opportunity for more individualized instruction for your student.
