Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The TOEFL test is a requirement for admission into colleges and universities where instruction is in English. In addition, many government, licensing, and certification agencies, and exchange and scholarship programs use TOEFL scores to evaluate the English proficiency of people for whom English is not their native language. This test covers English listening, reading, and grammar. Penn State, Lock Haven and Juniata College will accept scores from the institutional TOEFL given at State High. Please see your ESL teacher or assigned school counselor for more information.See ESL teachers prior to registering for the TOEFL ExamFor more information on the TOEFL click here.
