• Earth Systems Science 1 (1 credit) will cover the topics including: Astronomy, Meteorology, Geology, and Oceanography.

    This course is recommended for students who have average to above average skills in mathematics and who plan on pursuing a post-secondary 
    education. The Earth as a system is the approach for this course. While studying astronomy, geology, meteorology and oceanography, the lessons 
    investigate the interactions among these components in order to explain Earth’s dynamics, Earth’s evolution, global change and place within the 
    universe. Students who take this course will utilize their mathematics knowledge with the guidance of the teachers. Students who pass this course 
    may not elect to take Earth Systems Science or Advanced Earth Systems Science at a later date. Evaluation is based on tests, quizzes, laboratory 
    exercises, 
    homework and special assignments.
