Welcome to Advanced Meteorology!
The Advanced Meteorology class (.5 credit) is designed for college-bound students who are seeking in-depth experiences in Earth Science. Emphasis is placed on understanding the physical environment through an increased awareness of the process of science.
Areas covered include two introductory units on the basic atmospheric principles and weather forecasting. Three units focus on severe and hazardous weather such as, ice storms, blizzards, heat waves, lake-effect storms, thunderstorms, etc. Climate and climate change will be covered in the final unit.
