• I am in my 20th year of teaching in the State College Area School District. I currently teach Wellness for Life, Virtual Wellness 9 and Virtual Physical Education 9. I have also taught 9th-grade wellness and PE as part of the 9LC as well as Leadership and Wellness. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am the K-12 department coordinator for health, physical education, family and consumer science and driver's safety.

I am a graduate of Penn State University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science and a Master of Education in Health Education. I received my second Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University. Prior to teaching, I was an Exercise and Health Education Specialist for American Corporate Health Programs and later was the Wellness Director of a full-scale wellness program at a large retirement community in south-central PA. My prior teaching experience was in the Neshannock Township School District in New Castle, PA, where I taught health and physical education to grades K, 3, 4 and 9-12.

My daughter is a State High graduate from the class of 2022. I am an avid sports fan and rarely miss a Penn State football game (except to see my daughter play soccer). I enjoy watching my daughter play sports, traveling, spending time with friends and family and being outdoors. I am a strong believer in living a healthy lifestyle. I am an advocate of toxin-free living and increasing awareness of toxins in our environment.
