• My name is Lisa Turner (my favorite number is 4) and this will be my 31st year teaching math.  This is my 13th year at State High.  I have taught all levels of math at Mt. Nittany Middle School (including Geometry & Algebra).  I also taught at a middle school in Cincinnati, Ohio for three years. (That's where I went to college).  While teaching I continue to take graduate level and teacher education courses to extend and enhance my ability to teach mathematics.  I have experience coaching the Mathcounts team at the middle school level as well as volleyball. I have been involved in and presented at math inservice seminars provided by our school district. I love to walk dogs, read, do art, be around people... and of course... do math! I am excited to be teaching my 13th year at the high school.  What an exciting place! This year I will be doing CP Algebra 1 A/B with some very fabulous teachers & students at State High (they always give me the fabulous students!).  I can be found in room D014 & D012. The awesome part of CP Alg A/B is that we meet everyday all year.  Some people may see that as a downfall... but it is an advantage to do more work in class and less work out of class... and have the support of 2 algebra teachers in class every day!  It will be an adventure that is worth giving a chance. I am ready for a fabulous year! Thank you for joining me!
