This course is an introductory music theory course that includes major and minor scales, simple and compound meter, interval size and quality, first species counterpoint, triads and seventh chords, and roman numeral analysis.

 

 

Completion of Theory 1 is recommended for this course.  All content from the Theory 1 course is a prerequisite.  This course prepares students to take the AP Music Theory Exam.
