Mrs. Croswell

I am a native of State College and a graduate of State College Area High School.  I am thrilled to be back in town teaching at Easterly Parkway Elementary!
After graduation from high school, I obtained undergraduate degrees in Latin American Studies and Government from Smith College, and a Masters in Education with a concentration in Montessori from Xavier University.  I have taught first through third grade in both public and private schools for over twenty years.  In addition to working in the classroom, I have taught extensively at the undergraduate and graduate level for a variety of teacher education programs both in the U.S. and abroad.  Although I enjoy teaching adults, I LOVE teaching children the most.
Eleven summers ago, with the birth of our second child, my husband Aaron, then 5 year-old son Levi and I decided to move back to town from Raleigh, NC.  Aaron enjoys an exciting career driving trains for Norfolk Southern out of Lock Haven and Northumberland, PA.  Levi, who is now 15, attends tenth grade at State High, and our youngest son Owen starts fifth grade here at Easterly Parkway this fall.
When I’m not busy at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I also enjoy running, reading mystery novels, doing puzzles, and going for hikes with my kids. I look forward to being your child’s teacher this year.
