How do I emulate a student while logged in as a teacher?
Posted by HELEN QUINN on 9/24/2014When you introduce your students to the Typing Pal environment, it may be useful to show them the environment from the point of view of the student. The best way to do this would be to have a student log in and project this on the big screen. -
How do I promote a student?
Posted by HELEN QUINN on 10/13/2011You will need to reset the data for this student and change their benchmarks. Resetting the data will delete all of the work that this student had done up to this point and allow them to start the lessons over again. Click on Students (under your name), then choose the name of the student. Click on Actions button and then choose Delete Statistics. Then, choose Edit next to the Targets option. Change the benchmarks to the next grade level.

Should I inform parents?
Posted by HELEN QUINN on 10/11/2011Yes. A parent letter can be downloaded and modified from the Documentation tab (upper right hand corner) of the Summary page. The letter to parents is linked in the left hand column. Another good idea would be to create a link to Typing Pal Online from your web site.
