Classroom Diagnostic Tools
The Classroom Diagnostic Tools was created by the PA Department of Education as a formative assessment to help students to meet academic standards and to ensure success on the PSSA and Keystone Examinations.  The SCASD uses CDTs in grades 7-10 in selected courses.
As a formative assessment, CDTs are meant to help teachers plan their instruction to meet the needs of all learners.  Students will get immediate feedback about their strengths and growth areas.  CDTs are not an evaluation and will not be used for grades.  They are scheduled to be taken in class by the teacher on a needs basis.
