Kathy Pechtold In some ways, Kathy feels like she has always been at State High. She graduated from State High in 1981 and then spent a few years going to school, working, and then raising a family. In 2000, she returned to her alma mater where she began her teaching career as an English Teacher. She taught mostly 11th and 12th grade (as Mrs. Yingling) for 10 years before going into administration.

She and her husband and seven kids are like the Brady Bunch with a twist. She has 3 beautiful daughters, 3 wonderful stepsons, and 1 foster son. Although she is very proud of all of the kids, she is especially proud of her foster son and one stepson who are are currently serving our country. She also has three grandchildren who are so much fun.
