I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania near Scranton. After graduating from Penn State University in 2001, I taught kindergarten at Lemont Elementary. I have also taught 4th and 6th grade, but have been teaching at Easterly Parkway since 2004.

In May 2010, I graduated with a masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. I love getting lost in a good book and love sharing this passion and enthusiasm for reading with the students in my class.

When not at school, I enjoy reading, walking, kayaking, and camping. My husband Eric teaches math at State High. We have two children; our daughter, Addie, was born in March 2016 and our son, Henry, was born in March 2018.
