Mrs. Danielle Bandel
I grew up just outside of Port Matilda, PA, where my very large extended family still resides. I graduated from the Tyrone Area High School in 1994. Then, I went to Penn State University, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. I was a guest teacher for four years in the Tyrone Area School District and the Bald Eagle Area School District. I then came to State College in 2002 as a paraprofessional at the Mount Nittany Middle School in the MRC. During that year, I took graduate classes and guest taught only at Mount Nittany. In the fall of 2003, I became a full time paraprofessional with the 6th grade at Mount Nittany Middle School and I continued to guest teach. In the Spring of 2006, I became certified as a Reading Specialist and took a PTS position as the Title I teacher at Houserville Elementary school. I have worked as a Title I Teacher in the State College School District since 2006. I love teaching Reading to students and am very excited to start the new school year.
I live in Spring Mills, PA with my husband, son, and two dogs. We love living in the woods and seeing all the wildlife that wanders through our yard.
