• Illness and Injury

Students who are ill or injured should go to the nurse for evaluation and treatment. If the student is to be sent home, the school nurse will contact the parent to arrange pick-up. Students should not call, text, or e-mail their parent to pick them up.

When to keep your child home from school:

Your child should not attend school if any of the following symptoms are present.
    • Fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Ideally the child should remain home until he/she is fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.
    • Vomiting or diarrhea
    • Unexplained rash or sores
    • Red eyes accompanied by drainage
    • Untreated case of head lice (please note the child must be examined by the school nurse before returning to school)
