Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jennifer Brucker
I am thrilled to be teaching Second Grade at Mount Nittany Elementary School this year!
I graduated from Penn State in 1991 with a BS in Elementary and Kindergarten Education. I hold a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate for grades K-6.
I began my teaching career in Fredericksburg, VA teaching second grade. I taught there for three years before moving to Arkansas where I taught first grade in both Fayetteville and Little Rock. After six years of teaching, I took time off to raise my family. This is my eighth year working in the State College Area School District, and my sixth year teaching at Mount Nittany Elementary. Go Little Lions!
My husband Tim and I have four wonderful sons. Peter just started his junior year at Arizona State University. Go Sun Devils, Forks Up! Joe is starting his freshman year at West Virginia University. Let's Go Mountaineers! Aaron is a junior at State High this year. He is a member of the State High Boys Volleyball team. Our youngest son Tommy is in fifth grade this year at MNE.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, especially to the beach with my family. We have spent many summers watching baby sea turtles hatch while visiting Holden Beach, NC. While at home I like to knit, cook new recipes and just curl up with a good book. You may see me walking our puggle Molly around the neighborhood.
I am looking forward to great year in Second Grade!
