    Certain types of online behavior can negatively impact your child's well-being. Know what sites your child is viewing and who they are interacting with.  The videos below are from past Straight Talk events held at Mount Nittany Middle School and explore internet safety, pornography, and cyber-bullying.

    Adolescents, Sex, and Porn: Everything You Wish You Didn't Need To Know! 
    Presenter: Megan Maas
     
    This workshop covered information about internet pornography use, sex, and social media in adolescence: from market research on the industry; to how pornography affects the brain; to how and why teens are sexting. It also covered how to talk to your child about sexuality and sexual media to help them foster healthy sexuality. Recorded May 20, 2014.

    Presenter: Iris Beckwith, President, ConnectED 4 Safety
    Title: Guiding the Conversation: Because your teens are very connected.... How can you help them stay safe, secure and private?

    Iris spoke to parents/guardians on the topic of internet safety, cyber-bullying, and media literacy. Mrs. Beckwith has worked with schools across the country bringing a message for teachers, students and parents on how to keep kids safe, secure and private online. She will also spoke to our students and staff prior to this Straight Talk session. Recorded April 22, 2013.
