• Grade 4

Fourth-grade children are truly entering a new phase of their education. With a natural curiosity about the world around them, students are excited and motivated by the many opportunities to question, understand, and form opinions. A surge of independence will be experienced in fourth grade, while students learn responsibility in “balancing” their long-term projects, homework, friendships, and out-of-school activities.

Fourth graders are developing a greater sense of self-awareness, as well as their ability to appreciate and understand the perspective of others. With this kind of understanding, the children are beginning to realize the roles that they have in helping to create a positive classroom and school community. This is an exciting year, filled with adventures in learning and many opportunities for growth!
