Originally, I am from Northern New Jersey (so I talk fast😁), but I call State College my home. I came to State College as a Penn State student and never left. I am beginning my 19th-year of teaching, and since surviving the 2020-2021 school year, I am confident that we can weather whatever 2021-2022 will bring. By nature, I am resourceful, flexible and hopeful -- key skills in the ever-changing landscape of modern times. 

When I am not teaching, I love to garden, exercise, read, and spend time with my family. My husband, Mike Bierly, is a Science teacher at Park Forest Middle School and my children, Cora and Blair, attend Delta Middle School and Corl Street Elementary School, respectively. My five-year old pitbull named Angie rounds out our family.
