    Pre-Requisites: Two credits of Fine Art electives
    Internal portfolio review and interview

    This course is designed for highly motivated seniors who can work within the expectations of a first-year college level studio art class. Students will create a portfolio of work that may be submitted to the Advanced Placement Studio Art Program of the College Board. Students will develop a high level of skill in the use of color theory, expressive color, positive/negative space, repetitive pattern, design, line and tone, spatial illusion and portraiture. Students will develop both a concentration on a particular visual interest or concern and will investigate and explore approaches and media to broaden their repertoire of visual experiences. Students will be assigned readings from resources on contemporary art theories. Students must have completed two (2) credits of Fine Art electives and submit
