Star of the Week Information
Star of the Week
During the school year, each student will have the opportunity to be the Star of the Week. Being the Star of the Week is more than just having a fancy title for a week. Our Star of the Week is given special privileges and opportunities to celebrate how special he or she is. Below you will find information on each daily activity that will highlight our Star of the Week.Monday - "All About Me" PosterThe Star of the Week will create an "All About Me" poster. The poster will be shared with the class and displayed on our Star of the Week bulletin board.Tuesday - Favorite Picture Book
Our Star of the Week will need to bring one of his or her favorite picture books to read to the class (or have the teacher read to the class).
Wednesday - Letter from HomePlease write a letter that we can read to the class about your child. Share any funny stories or interesting things about them. You can put the letter in an envelope with my name on it to send to school.Thursday - Show and Tell
The Star of the Week will bring a special item from home to share with the class. Students are encouraged to bring an item that holds a special meaning rather than just a toy.
Friday - Star Poster
Students will help create a Star Poster for the Star of the Week.
I will let you know the Friday before it's your child's week to be the Star of the Week so that you can help him/her prepare. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I hope your child enjoys his/her special week!
