    The first 4 documents below represent how the SCASD Grade 6 Competencies are incorporated into the instructional process, how they are assessed, and how the assessment results are reported to teachers, parents and students.  There are similar lessons for each grade level from K to 10, incorporating the requisite skills for the grade level.

    This activity is used during the World Travel Agency unit, a study of world cultures in 6th grade. During this unit of study, students collaborate as "travel agencies" to learn about various aspects of culture. Creating a business card to represent the agency combines computer skills instruction with learning about logos, slogans, and advertising in the world of business.
