Meet Mrs. Morath

Hello! I am excited to start our new year together at Spring Creek! It will be fun to explore our new school together. I have been teaching in various capacities for over eighteen years now. I started teaching swimming lessons and moved to coaching prior to having my teaching degree. Then I was hired as a fourth grade teacher in Lewisburg, PA.  I moved to State College a few years ago and was fortunate enough to be hired as a fifth grade teacher. The past three years I have been working in fourth grade at Houserville. No matter the grade level, place or subject, I love teaching!!

When I am not busy teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I have a daughter and son.  They keep me busy and laughing! My husband is the librarian at the high school. He always has book recommendations for me to read. I also live with my dog named Millie and cat named Friday. We recently moved and become the proud family of about thirty pond fish, too. As a family, we love to spend time outside hiking, swimming, or relaxing (though the cat does not enjoy swimming and the fish are definitely not hikers)!

Meet Miss Marsh

My name is Gabriela Marsh. Thank you for welcoming me into your classroom this school year. I am a senior at Penn State University and I am excited to teach, as well as learn, from this experience. My major is Early Childhood Education (preK-4). I have experience working in a preschool on campus, a 4th grade classroom at Radio Park elementary, and an assisted living care facility for students in Pittsburgh. I took a particular liking to the fourth grade, and I am very happy to step back into the classroom there.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy writing, history, running, and the outdoors. I am also a United States Marine, and I am commissioning in May through the University’s ROTC program.

I look forward to meeting you all. This year will be fun!

Meet Mr. Spike

Spike is not a teacher, but he is our loveable classroom pet.  He is a bearded dragon and, believe it or not, likes to cuddle!

We are all excited to meet you soon!!!
