This will be my 23rd year teaching in State College School District. I taught for 2 years at Mount Nittany Middle School and 2 years at Park Forest Middle School as an 8th grade mathematics teacher. This begins my 19th year at State College Area High School. I am originally from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania -- Home of Groundhog Day! I live with my family in Stormstown. My husband is a professor in the Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department and also the faculty advisor for the Ecomarathon Team at PSU. My son, Hunter, graduated from Penn State with a degree in IST/SRA and is currently working for Textron in Wichita, KS. My daughter, Hope, is a senior at State High and loves dancing. She takes many dance classes including ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, tap, and hip hop as well as being on AVID (a dance competition team). My hobbies revolve around Hope's activities and trying to fit in some exercise, reading, and gardening on the side.
