Mr. Matt Lintal
Pennsylvania as the wide receiver coach in the Big 33 Game.
Prior to State College, Coach Lintal coached at Bucknell University for 7 seasons. While coaching the Bison, Coach Lintal was named the Passing Game Coordinator and coached the wide receivers, running backs and quarterbacks during his tenure.
Lintal has a long history with the Little Lions. A State College Alum, he graduated from State College High School in 1999. Playing for his father, Dave Lintal, who was the head coach at the time. Matt served as a captain for the 1998 season (10-2 record). A three-year letterwinner, Lintal played wide receiver and outside linebacker for State High.
Matt went on to become a student athlete at Franklin & Marshall College, where he graduated in 2003. A Psychology Major and Religious Studies Minor, Matt started 39 games at strong safety and played in all 40. He served as team captain during his senior season and is currently 8th in F&M history on the all-time career tackles list (282 total tackles) and 5th in career solo tackles (145 total tackles). Additionally, Matt finished his career with 9 interceptions.
Coach Lintal earned his Master's Degree in Education from Bucknell University and his Secondary School Counseling Certification from Bloomsburg University in 2010.
Coach Lintal currently serves as a School Counselor, responsible for In-School Suspension for the State College Area School District. Matt and his wife Jackie, also a State College Area District alum, have three children (Hayden-9, Ryleigh-7, Brady-4).
