Degrees and Certifications:

Madame Belaïd

I have been teaching French since December 2007. I received my B.S. degree in Secondary French Education from the Pennsylvania State University. During my junior year, I completed a year long integrated study abroad program at the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, France. Post my junior year, I took a year long sabbatical leave to teach English in the French high school, Jean-Prévost, in Normandy, France. There, I met my husband, Djamel, a network and computer administrator of the school district. We currently reside in Boalsburg with two boys, Aemine and Samir.

I am a very passionate and dedicated teaching professional who enjoys teaching students about the French culture and language. I am always preparing new lessons to stay with current teaching practices and changes in the French culture. I love to travel. Not only have I been to France, but I have also toured Italy, England, Canada, and Austria. Last summer, my sons had their first trip ever to visit their family in France, where they visited the D-Day beaches and Mont St. Michel.
